1955 STUDEBAKER COMMANDER 2 DOOR HARDTOP

$28,995.00

One of the famous Raymond Loewy designed cars. Simply sensational aerodynamic styling. These cars were used extensively as Bonneville Salt Flat record runners. This car is a 2 door  Hardtop (without posts). Powered by a V8 with a 4-barrel carburetor and electronic ignition. It has power steering and power brakes and has been converted to 12-volt system with an alternator. In the dash it has an original AM radio converted to work as an AM/FM unit but it has been disconnected as a modern Alpine AM/FM CD player model #CDFM 7861 has been installed in the glove box by the most recent owner. It also is fitted with a Viper alarm and power door locks. We know this car very well; as this is the 6th time we have had it in the last 15 or 20 years. Everybody has loved it, with one customer buying it back a second time a few years later and the most recent owner keeping it for the last 8 ½ years. This is a really nice example of an early Studebaker that although restored a few years ago now still shows well with lots of spectacular chrome work that is still in very nice condition. A very nicely restored car that has aged extremely well. Finished in a two-tone paint scheme with a light Coral colour bottom section and an Off White roof and a Beige and White interior.
